In this studio, we are required to take into consideration key aspects of urban design and context in relation to architecture, develop an awareness and basic compliance to Design Codes and Statutory Requirements, emphasize the importance of elevation context and composition in developing architectural design and implement and explore the conceptual, schematic and design development phases in an architectural design project. Our site is chosen at KLANG, Jalan Besar. The building site that we need to built a library is between Chong Kok kopitiam and also OCBC Bank. The library that we are required to built have to relate to the points above. In this project i have learned to demonstrate the fundamental knowledge of Design Codes and Regulations, explore plan-section and elevation studies to resolve relevant aesthetic, construction and environmental issues in the design development phase, produce a design outcome that encompasses the appropriate site-specific architectural responses through its formal, cultural, legislative, structural and environmental design solutions for specific urban issues, produce drawings (both 2D and 3D), models and presentations to verbally and visually communicate architectural ideas and scheme.
